Dr. Chandan Srivastava
Dr. Srivastava completed his Bachelors of Technology in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering in
2003 from Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee followed by a M.S. from University of Alabama, Tuscaloosa, USA. He then completed his PhD there in 2009. Subsequently he joined the department as a centenary post doctoral fellow after which he was apointed a faculty member in the department.
Pambannan Padaikathan
Padaikathan is an associate member of the Indian Institute of Metals (AMIIM, 1995) after which he did a MSc. (Engg) in 2005. Currently he is a Scientific Officer in the department. He joined the group for a Ph.D. as a staff registrant in 2007. He completed in March 2016.
Saurabh Dixit
Saurabh completed his Bachelor of Technology in Materials Science and Engineering from C.S.J.M. University Kanpur in year 2009. He was also a Junior Research Fellow at Bhabha Atomic Research Center from 2009 to 2010. Subsequently he joined the institute for a Ph.D which he completed in March 2016.

Surendra completed his Bachelor of Technology in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering from National Institute of Technology Rourkela in year 2007. Before joining the institute for a PhD in 2010, he was a Production engineer with HINDALCO Industries Ltd from 2007 to 2009. He completed his PhD in February 2016.
Olu Emmanuel Femi
Femi did his Bachelor of Sciences in Physics from Ahmadu Bello University, Nigeria in 2008 followed by M.Sc in Material Science from African University of Science and Technology, Abuja Nigeria in 2010. He joined the institute for a Ph.D. in August 2010. He belongs to the first batch of international students being administered the
International Student Fellowship by the institute. He completed his PhD in November 2015.
Sukla Mondal
Sukla completed her Bachelor of Engineering in Metallurgical Engineering from Jadavpur University in year 2004 followed by a short stint as a Junior Research Fellow at National Metallurgical Laboratory Jamshedpur from 2005 to 2006. Subsequently she obtained a M.Tech in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering from National Institute of Technology Durgapur. Before joining the institute for a PhD in January 2009, she was a project assistant at the department for a short period from July 2008 to December 2008. She completed her PhD in November 2015.
Dulal Chandra Jana
Dulal is a Scientist C at the Center for Non-Oxide Ceramics, International Advanced Research Center for Powder Metallurgy and New Materials (ARCI). He joined the institute for a Ph.D. in 2007 and completed in March 2015.
Chandrasekhar Tiwari
Chandrasekhar completed his Bachelor of Technology in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering from National Institute of Technology Durgapur in year 2008. Before joining the institute for a PhD in 2009, he was a Management Trainee with MECON Limited from 2008 to 2009. He completed his PhD in November 2014.

Kirtiman is a Master of Sciences in Physics from Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur. In August 2008, he joined the institute for a PhD. He completed his degree in August 2014.
D R K Sidharda
Sidharada completed his Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from Vasavi College of Engineering (Osmania University Hyderabad) followed by a M.Tech. in Manufacturing Engineering from the National Institute of Foundry and Forging Technology, Ranchi. He was an Asst. Professor at NIMRA College of Engineering, affiliated to JNTU Hyderabad from 2000 to 2004. He joined the institute for a Ph.D. in 2004 and completed in August 2014.
Shailesh Kumar Singh
Shailesh has done his Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya, Bhopal followed by which he had a brief stint at Mahindra and Mahindra group as an Assistant Manager. In 2008, he joined the institute for a PhD and completed in July 2014.

Subsequently he joined Defence Metallurgical Research Laboratory (Defence Research and Development Organisation) as a Scientist B. He joined the institute as an external Ph.D. candidate in 2006.
