Saurabh completed his Bachelor of Technology in Materials Science and Engineering from C.S.J.M. University Kanpur in year 2009. He was also a Junior Research Fellow at Bhabha Atomic Research Center from 2009 to 2010. Subsequently he joined the institute for a Ph.D. He completed in March 2016.

 

His thesis was under the joint guidance of Prof. Chattopadhyay and Prof. Satish V Kailas (Department of Mechanical Enginering, Indian Institute of Science) and was titled "Study on development of aluminium based Metal Matrix Composite using Friction Stir Processing (FSP) technique".
