Sireesha completed her Bachelor of Sciences (Hons) in Physics from Satya Sai University, Andhra Pradesh followed by a Master of Sciences in Physics from the Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati. She joined the institute for a Ph.D. in August 2012.

Currently she is working under the guidance of Prof. Chattopadhyay.
