Mahander completed his Bachelors of Engineering in Metallurgical Engineering from PEC University of Technology, Chandigarh in year 2011. Following that, he had a year's stint in India Yamaha Motors as a Process Auditor. Subsequently he joined the institute for the M.E. programme in the department. In August 2015, he joined the institute for a Ph.D. in the Interdisciplinary Center for Energy Research (ICER).

 

 

Currently he is working on High temperature corrosion due to metal salts on superalloys under the joint guidance of Prof. Chattopadhyay, Dr. Vijay A Sethuraman and Prof. Bikramjit Basu.
