Khushboo completed her Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical engineering from Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra in April 2015. Subsequently she joined the institute for a Ph.D. in the Interdisciplinary Center for Energy Research (ICER).
She is presently working on Precipitation & Vaporization in nanoparticle laden functional particles under the joint guidance of Prof. Chattopadhyay and Prof Saptarshi Basu. A short description of his work is as follows:
