Monday this week (April 8, 2002) marks 20 years to my first observation of the 5-fold diffraction pattern of the Icosahedral phase in Al-Mn, at NBS. A long period of time, and our lives have been altered, but a lot of progress has been made since. The best part is - we are all still here, active and happy with our science.
