TECHNOLOGY TRANSFER

Our group has developed various technologies to serve the society. The following technologies have been transferred to various industries.

1. GAS CARBURISING:

The software with Graphical User Interface developed for this industrial process has been given to few industries such as TVS Motors etc. This is the first software which can control the process online and can be used offline basis to improve the production.

2.  SILICON CARBIDE PRODUCTION TECHNOLOGY (THE ACHESON PROCESS):

Our group is working to improve this technology since last 20 years or more. Now, we are able to increase the production up to 20% from the existing 13% of the world figure (currently, 10 to 14% of the total charge is converted into green SiC). We are also able to reduce the energy consumption for the same. Trial License Agreement of this technology has been done with one of the major industries.

3.   PRODUCTION OF BORON CARBIDE:

This technology, developed by our group, is ready for transfer to the industries. We have not only increased the production but also has reduced the energy consumption for this process.

4. GRANULATION-CUM-SINTERING MODEL:

It is available for interested industries without Graphical User Interface.
