Brief outline of the job to be carried out under this project:
Selected candidate will be developing GUI for scientific codes (developed in-house). The candidate will also be developing the interfaces for displaying the live data in graphical form from various devices such as thermocouple and may be involved in conducting the experiments. The candidate would be interacting with other researchers and may discharge any other duties assigned to him/her.
Developing mass and heat transfer model/code with reactions in a packed bed and may be involved in conducting the experiments. The candidate would be interacting with other researchers and may discharge any other duties assigned to him/her.
Essential Qualification – SRF-1:
SRF – 1: ME in Instrumentation/Computer Sci/Electrical/Electronics and related areas.
Desirable Skills: Excellent knowledge on developing Graphical User Interface (GUI) for scientific codes written in FORTRAN/C/Java languages. Experience in collecting live data from devices like thermocouples (for temperature), etc., and displaying them in graphical form.
Essential Qualification – SRF-2:
SRF – 2: ME in Chemical/ Metallurgical/ Mechanical/Aerospace Eng. and related areas.
Desirable Skills: A sound knowledge in mass transfer and chemical reactions (thermodynamics). Working knowledge in the field of heat transfer including a good knowledge of numerical techniques with strong programming skill in FORTRAN / C is essential.
Other information: The consolidated salary would be Indian Rupees (INR) 35,000.0 per month. The initial appointment would be for one year extendable for another two years (in case of SRF-2) depending upon the satisfactory performance of the candidate. For SRF-1, candidate with BE qualification and experience may be considered for JRF position.
